Music For The Earth & Soul
Marielle & The Flowers is a musician, artist, and sustainability activist based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. She focuses on music that connects people to the Earth and community through creative lyricism, improv, song circles, and performing for sustainability and community centered events and festivals. The "flowers" are not only the musicians she collaborates with as a band, but the flowers also represent that it is her mission to sing for the earth and be a voice for the voiceless, catalyzing creative change and connection with the planet and each other.
Marielle has performed at multiple festivals and events throughout the years. She was the headlining band for the International Herb Symposium where she performed her song "Plant Allies," featured above, that was inspired by the words of renowned herbalist Rosemary Gladstar. She has since led multiple plant walk & apothecary concerts where she infuses herbal wisdom with song. With a focus on sustainability centered festivals, she performed at GardenFest, a festival with a focus on permaculture action. In addition to performing at festivals and events, she also facilitates creative workshops and immersive song experiences at these events. She has been the opener for shows by other conscious music musicians such as Sierra Marin, Amber Echo, and Adam Elfers and focuses on collaboration with musicians in the community making a difference. She has also helped organize local events in her community surrounding sustainability, garden building, song circles, creative workshops, plant walks and more.
